Road Safety and Transport Authority (RSTA) officials at the site told BBS that the man died a few seconds after he was removed from the vehicle.

There was a passenger in the taxi. He escaped unhurt.

Police and RSTA officials are at the site to investigate the incident and also to control traffic.
