July 3: The news is bad for motorists. The fuel price has shot up once again.

In anticipation of the fuel price hike, people in the capital have been refueling their vehicles before the trade department announces the price hike.

The price hike came into effect late this afternoon.

The price of petrol increased by Nu. 3 and Ch. 30, diesel by almost Nu. 2.

A litre of petrol will now cost Nu. 41 and Ch. 83 in the capital.

A litre of diesel now costs Nu. 32 and Ch. 68.

According to an official in the trade department, the price hike is due to fuel price increase in India.
