Guidelines for Internship/Attachment

Bhutan Broadcasting Service offers intern as an opportunity to learn the basis on issues related broadcasting such as producing, reporting etc in different departments, in supervised atmosphere. BBS accepts interns on case by case basis or arranged by Govt. Institutions.

Terms and conditions

  • The period of internship will be from minimum of one to maximum of three months.
  • The interns are assigned to different departments depending on their qualification and the needs of the departments.
  • Interns are assigned to work with a supervisor who is responsible for providing them with a description of duties and responsibilities.
  • Interns are expected to work full time and to carry out the duties assigned to them.
  • They are not allowed to go on leave during the period of the internship.
  • Interns are not considered officials or staff members of the Organization.  
  • No allowance or salary will be paid during his or her attachment or internship.
  • Upon completion of the internship, the interns are required to complete a final report describing what was achieved during the internship.
  • At the end of the attachment/internship the intern will be given a recommendation letter by the organization

Procedure for applying
The application should be submitted to General Manager, Human Resource and Administration Department with the following documents: 

  • A covering letter stating the reason for applying to the internship programme.
  • Copy of Citizenship Identity Card.
  • Photocopy of Academic transcript (original to be produced in person).
  • Security Clearance Certificate.
  • (Please note application without above documents not be accepted)

Office Procedures

  • The General Manager, HRAD will seek advice or recommendation from the concerned Department on the application of the intern.
  • Only after the acceptance an interim order will be issued.
